Manchester United’s ‘secret’ approach to transfers under Erik Ten Hag

Ten Hag is also looking to attack his former side, with the defender Lisandro Martinez and winger Antony top the list.

United face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal to sign Martinez, the former Trafford club are preparing a £40million bid.

United officials are believed to have traveled to Amsterdam last week to discuss a potential move for Brazilian winger Antony, but United are said to be put off by Ajax’s asking price.

The Red Devils also offered free agent Christian Eriksen a deal, but the experienced Denmark international is currently considering offers from United and Brentfordto whom he spent the second half of the 21/22 campaign with.

United are preparing to leave for their pre season tour of Thailand and Australia next week, with hopes that they will be joined on their journey, but with new faces.
